Vojtech Vosecky
Keynote Speaker
We are proud to present that Vojtech Vosecky is coming to Circular Design Day. 2022 he was a speaker at World Climate Summit and has also been selected by LinkedIn as a Top Green Voice in Europe. Now we have the opportunity in The Jakobstad Region not just to follow Mr. Vosecky on LinkedIn, but also to hear him speak live at Gamla Brandkårshuset, Jakobstad.

IKEA of Sweden
The well known home furnishing company, IKEA of Sweden is participating in Circular Design Day. Tayfun Avdan will tell us about how they work with circular product design principles and circular business models. Avdan will also talk about sustainability related requirements, such as the EU regulatory agenda – Ecodesign Sustainable Product Requirements. Mirka
Mirka develops and produces abrasives, tools and polishing compounds. Mirka has now launched SHAPE Ecosystem, that focuses on reshaping lifecycles of products and materials within the manufactoring industry. Clewor

The Loop Factory
The Loop Factory offers tailor made services starting from strategy, design to implementation. They create soloutions that are in line with circular economic strategies. Englander and Ström will present The Loop Factorys way of working with circular design and their collaboration with Walki.
Walki
Walki works with three distinctive areas: consumer packaging, industrial packaging and engineered materials. On Circular Design Day Walki will enter the stage together with The Loop Factory and we will hear about their unique collaboration.
Programme
Circular Design Day will highlight circular design and circular economy from different angles. You will get examples of how you can work with circularity in practice and get information about opportunities that circularity can bring to your company.
Spillkarneval / Hävikkikarnevaali
Businesses from the region have gathered examples of their leftover material and presents it at our own ”Spillkarneval”-exhibition. Spillkarnevalen is arranged at the same time and place as Circular Design Day, so you have the opportunity to see and feel the materials during the breaks. Maybe you can find a new purpose for the leftover materials? The exhibition of leftover materials is open to all who participate in Circular Design Day.

Utvecklingsprojektet Alholmen Circular Economy Platform (ACEP) pågick under åren 2024–2026 och syftet var att stärka cirkulär ekonomi, samarbete och hållbar utveckling vid Alholmen Industrial Park (AIP) i Jakobstadsregionen. Projektet finansierades
I Österbotten och Jakobstadsregionen finns olika möjligheter för företag att få finansiering för investeringar, utveckling och tillväxt. Finansiering erbjuds bland annat via Livskraftcentralen, Business Finland samt EU-finansierade program och fonder.
