About us

Jakobstad Region Development Company Concordia Ltd. was founded in 1999 by the five municipalities in the region: Jakobstad, Kronoby, Larsmo, Nykarleby and Pedersöre. We bring together businesses, municipalities and development organizations in order to create and sustain an attractive region for both companies and new residents. Concordia sees to that the Jakobstad region is accessible and has a diverse supply of labour. We work to make the regions unique qualities and versatile industry structure better known both to its own residents and those who live outside the region.

Our mission is to find new opportunities and provide a good breeding ground for development and growth. Together with our owners, the regions’ companies, public organizations and other stakeholders, we create the conditions for a successful business life and an attractive region, which stands up to national and international competition.

We offer free business consulting and development services and work with placebranding and protection of the region’s interests.
