The Pietarsaari Jakobstad region has a strong global export market and our companies have an annual export value ~ 2 billion €, we are almost 50 000 inhabitants, over 6 500 companies and more than 22 000 workplaces in a diversified field of enterprises. We’ve got both urban and rural living and you are never more than half an hour commuting-distance from services as well as having nature and the archipelago always nearby. Quality of life in a nutshell!

In the Jakobstad region business sector you can find branches from food, machinery and equipment, paper, lyxury yachts and everyday boating through plastic and rubber to metal and abrasives.
