Concordia is looking for a project manager (3 year contract)

Do you want to be a key player in the implementation of the green transition and develop sustainable energy solutions?

The Jakobstad Region Development Company Concordia Ltd. is looking for a motivated project manager who is passionate about sustainability for the 3-year Bothnia Green Energy project. The project’s goal is to accelerate innovation and develop sustainable energy solutions in collaboration with stakeholders in the Kvarken region. Read more information about the project here

The project aims to create a common platform that brings together universities, businesses, and public sector actors, and increases the innovation capacity of small and medium-sized companies. The project aims to promote the green transition, with the main target group in the Kvarken region, both in Sweden and Finland. However, the project manager’s role is to anchor, coordinate, and develop activities in the Jakobstad region.

The project manager should have:

• An eye for new business opportunities that the green transition brings
• Knowledge of sustainability, circular economy, or the energy industry
• A good understanding of how to drive development work in collaboration with others
• Proficiency in Swedish, Finnish, and English
• Strong teamworking skills
• Experience working in an international environment

Bothnia Green Energy is a collaborative project which is coordinated by the Kvarken council. Apart from Jakobstads region Development Company Concordia the following organisations are project partners: Kokkolanseudun Kehitys Oy KOSEK, Merinova Oy, Skellefteå Science City, Umeå kommun, Vaasan seudun Kehitys Oy VASEK and Övik Energi. Energy companies operating in the areas of the six participating locations are also actively involved in the collaboration. The project manager we are looking for will become a full member of an inspiring team that is targeting new opportunities for the entire Kvarken region.

The project is for three years and will start in January 2023 or after a final funding decision from Interreg Aurora.
