iCEAR – integrated Circular Economy Action plans for Rural areas

The aim of this Interreg Europe-funded project iCEAR is to improve regional and local policies that support circular economy in rural areas, by focusing on bio-based value chains and cross-sectoral interactions. The circular economy has great potential to contribute to sustainable and resource-efficient development – but there is often a lack of an integrated approach between different policy areas. This is where iCEAR wants to make a difference.

Here in the Jakobstad Region we are focusing on developing the joint regional climate strategy “Klimatsmarta tillsammans/Ilmastotietoisia yhdessä” (policy instrument) in cooperation with our 5 municipalities in the region.

What?

iCEAR – Integrated Circular Economy Action plans for Rural areas brings together 9 partner organisations from 9* different European countries to jointly develop sustainable solutions for rural areas. Project partner presentation: *Albania (Region Durres) is participating as an exploratory partner.
