During spring 2025, the Invest In Focus for the Jakobstad Region -project has examined the region’s potential for growth, investment and new business establishments.
Why, and for whom?
To influence future development, we need to understand our history. Cities, municipalities, partners and organization such as education providers all contribute to the future we are building. But we need to pull in the same direction.
What should it lead to?
Concrete action, of course. During the autumn, the five municipalities in the Jakobstad region are preparing a growth strategy. A strategy sets out a vision and a target state, but reaching them requires concrete action. And to put those actions in place, we need the right goals and indicators. We also need to track those indicators to know whether the goals are being achieved.
We have now created a foundation for this development work and the upcoming Growth Strategy. But it will become a desk-drawer document if we do not use it. So, this is only the beginning of the process. Now it is time to roll up our sleeves across the region, take responsibility for what we can influence and set goals that each of us can help achieve.
We are happy to visit you to present the findings, hold discussions or arrange workshops around the material. We tailor the content to what your company or organization does and your needs.
There is a lot in the material to be proud of, and we want to share it. But there are also challenges we need to tackle if we want positive development to continue.
