Recruiting Active People brought students and industry together

Concordias and Alholmen Industrial Parks join project ACEP once again organized the Recruiting Active People (RAP) recruitment event this year in collaboration with Kokkola Industrial Park, Centria University of Applied Sciences, and KP-edu. The event took place on November 4, 2025, at Centria’s campus in Kokkola. It gathered students in technology and business who were eager to meet industry representatives and perhaps even discover a future career path. From AIP, participants included the association itself as well as OSTP, UPM, Billerud, Walki, Sjöblom Infra, and the regional development company Concordia.

In the morning, two guided bus tours were arranged at AIP, where as many as 88 students had the opportunity to explore the Alholmen area and its industrial environment.

From AIP’s perspective, RAP is an excellent opportunity to showcase the diversity of industries and present concrete career possibilities. Companies emphasized that this is the recruitment fair that is truly worth attending as an exhibitor. The students were engaged, curious, and eager to interact with the companies. Feedback from the fair was overwhelmingly positive.

Collaboration with Kokkola Industrial Park, Centria, and KP-edu creates real impact. After all, the industrial parks are only about 30 kilometers apart and share the same commuting area. By working together, we can offer students a broader view of the region’s industry and the career opportunities available.

The implementation and participation in the event were made possible through the support of the ACEP project.
